Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Carla received a BFA in Fibers at the Savannah College of Art and Design. With a hands-on approach and a passion for sustainability, her practice spans furniture design to textile installations and more, bringing together beauty and purpose in everything she creates. For Carla, art goes beyond aesthetics; it’s about starting conversations and provoking thoughts around our consumerist habits and the impact we leave on the planet and our communities. With a deep commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and social change, she hopes to inspire others to see the beauty, purpose, and meaning in their surroundings.
